Hamburg Steak

Hamburg Steak (serves 2)

Ingredients
For the hamburg steak
  • 200g Mixture of Ground Beef and Pork
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 mushrooms
  • pinch of Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 onion
  • 15g or 3 tbsp Bread crumbs
  • 1 Tbsp Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 pcs Cheese (optional)
  • oil for cooking
For the gravy
  • 1/3 Fried Onion & mushroom
  • 125ml stock
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • pinch of salt & black pepper
  • 1 tbsp potato or corn starch
  • 1 tbsp water

 

 

Directions
  1. Chopped the onion and mushroom into fine pieces and stir fry them into frying pan.
  2. Seasoned with salt and pepper, and set it aside to cool down.
  3. take
  4. Combined 2/3 fried onion mushrooms, beaten egg, panko mixed with milk.
  5. Then added in ground pork, salt pepper, nutmeg and mix well together.
  6. Throw the patty into the bowl to remove air inside.
  7. Clean your hand and coat with oil, shape the patty into oval shape and wrap it with cheese.
  8. Heat the olive oil in the pan and cook the patties.
  9. When both side of patties is completed cook, add in water, cover and fry it for 8 minutes.
  10. now prepare for the gravy. Add 1/3 fried onion mushroom in pan.
  11. Add stock and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper
  12. Combine starch and water in a bowl and pour into gravy.stir well
  13. Cook until gravy is bit thicker. pour on hamburg.
  14. Served with vegetables.
